Medical convoy to the village of Oulad Naseer

Under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and His Excellency Dr. Hassan Al-Namani, President of the University, Dr. Khaled Abdel Latif Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Dr. Magdy Amin Al-Qadi, Dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine, and Dr. Shazly Saleh Mousi, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Human Medicine organized a medical convoy to the village of Oulad Naseer in the governorate on Tuesday, 20/2/2024.

These convoys come due to the social responsibility that Sohag University bears to help the people of the most needy villages in the governorate, which cannot bear the costs of detection and treatment. Dr. Magdy stated that the convoy included 12 doctors in the following specialties: (Gastrointestinal and liver diseases – Chest – Speech – Neurological and psychological – Dermatology – Internal – General surgery – Women and childbirth – Children – Nose, ear and throat – Ophthalmology). Dr. Shazly also stated that the cases that were medically examined reached 648 cases.

He also followed up on the organization of clinics and facilitated the procedures related to examinations. In addition to transferring 15 cases to university hospitals to complete treatment. A seminar was also held by Dr. Amira Faiz from the Department of Public Health, who spoke about breast cancer and early detection to avoid its spread and reach advanced stages, and early marriage and its impact on women’s health.
