The New Sohag University Hospital Receives 4,000 Citizens and Performs 750 Surgical Operations
Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, stated that the emergency reception of the new university hospital in the new city of Sohag received more than 4,000 patients, in addition to performing 800 surgical operations, since the emergency was transferred from the old hospital to the new headquarters, with the aim of providing treatment services to the people of Upper Egypt at the highest level of care.
Al-Numany stressed that the new hospital’s emergency reception provides integrated services to patients, whether diagnostic or therapeutic, in one place, free of charge, and at a high level of quality, pointing out that providing health and therapeutic services to the community represents one of the university’s most important strategic goals, in light of its possession of all Human and material capabilities and advanced medical equipment in various departments.
Dr. Magdy Al-Qadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, added that the hospital operates according to an automated work system and in an integrated manner in accordance with the latest medical systems, explaining that the emergency reception includes 9 rooms and is equipped with a large number of medical devices and supplies necessary to receive and treat cases and perform operations in the shortest possible time.
Dr. Ahmed Hamed, director of the new hospital, explained that Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany had directed the necessity of continuing to receive various medical cases 24 hours a day, whether emergency cases, clinical treatment, or operations, as the reception and emergency department was provided with a number of units to receive this large number of urgent cases in the hospital.
