Since the inauguration of the\u00a0<\/span>faculty<\/span>\u00a0of Medicine in Sohag in 1992, and for more than a quarter of a century, it has played its role in the educational process, scientific research and community service for the residents of the southern Upper Egypt region, and the college has passed throughout this period many variables that left a clear impact in the stages Its development, as the college was born and spent the first years of its life in the confinement of\u00a0<\/span>Assuit<\/span>\u00a0University, which gave it the opportunity to benefit from what others had achieved in this prestigious university, and with the establishment of South Valley University, the college was separated from\u00a0<\/span>Assuit<\/span>\u00a0University, and it became one of the\u00a0<\/span>faculties<\/span>\u00a0of this university, which gave it the opportunity to benefit Of the unlimited support that the college found through the\u00a0<\/span>promising plans of this university.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span>n 2006, Sohag University was established to finally realize its dream of being affiliated with a university whose administration is located in the same geographical space as the young college, and for the college to become the focus of the interests of the fledgling university administration; And finally, since October 2017; God bless our university under the leadership of placing the\u00a0<\/span>faculty<\/span>\u00a0of Medicine and university hospitals at the center of their concerns<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And compared to its short life<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>We can see what the college has achieved in terms of the three axes, in the educational process: The college graduated twenty-four batches of undergraduate students, and granted a large number of doctorate, master\u2019s and diploma degrees through its educational programs available for postgraduate studies, and the college\u2019s employees have published many scientific papers, and have participated in many scientific conferences at the local and international levels. The college has a clear activity in the focus of community service, studying its problems, working to find solutions to them, developing the surrounding environment, and working to create more community-based partners concerned with the services provided by the college, and strengthening cooperation ties with them.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And nowadays the<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>faculty<\/span>\u00a0is at a crossroads in its academic life as it accepts to change its educational system to become<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>an<\/span>\u00a0integrated system and credit hours, with the amendment of the years of studies to become five years instead of six, in addition to changing the training period to become two years instead of one year; In order to keep\u00a0<\/span>cope<\/span>\u00a0with international standards for medical education. From this point of view, I invite everyone not to miss the opportunity, and to spend dearly and precious in order to preserve the position of the college, and in this regard, the college administration does not fail to praise the unlimited support it receives from the unive<\/span>rsity administration, headed by the president of the university who supports\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>faculty<\/span>\u00a0and university hospitals\u00a0<\/span>and made them a top priority\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
