Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, announced that the Department of General Surgery succeeded in performing 284 surgical operations during the month of January, as part of ongoing efforts to improve medical services within university hospitals and their various departments.<\/p>\n

Al-Numany stressed that this achievement reflects the efficiency of the medical and nursing staff, in addition to the continuous development of medical capabilities and equipment within university hospitals, stressing their full preparedness and readiness to receive emergency cases and perform advanced surgical interventions to serve the people of the governorate and neighboring governorates.<\/p>\n

For his part, Dr. Magdy Al-Qadi, Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, explained that the operations performed varied between 160 major operations, 91 medium operations, and 33 minor operations, and included emergency and non-emergency cases in the specialties of general surgery, oncology surgery, and laparoscopic surgeries.<\/p>\n
