Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany, President of the University, confirmed that university hospitals are continuing their efforts to provide specialized medical care to patients.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Digestive System and Liver Unit in the Department of General Internal Medicine examined approximately 100 patients who visited the Digestive System Clinic and the Diabetes Clinic, and who suffer from fatty liver disease, over the course of two days.<\/p>\n
From his part, Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany, President of the University, praised these efforts, stressing that the University is always keen to provide advanced medical services to patients, and to benefit from the latest devices and technologies to ensure early detection of diseases and improve the level of health care, within the framework of the societal and educational role played by the University.<\/p>\n
Dr. Magdy El-Qadi, Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, also pointed out that this comes within a series of medical and therapeutic services that aim to improve the level of healthcare provided to patients, explaining that the hospital works to provide integrated services that include examination, diagnosis and treatment, to ensure the provision of healthcare according to the highest standards.<\/p>\n
Dr. Ahmed Kamal, Executive Director of University Hospitals, explained that the patients underwent examination using the Fibroscan device, which is used to assess the degree of liver fibrosis and determine the extent of the liver\u2019s impact on fats.<\/p>\n
The necessary medical tests were also conducted to follow up their cases and ensure that they receive appropriate care.<\/p>\n
In the same context, Dr. Nayel Abdel Hamid, Head of the Department of General Internal Medicine, explained that the Gastrointestinal and Liver Unit works to provide specialized medical services according to the latest treatment protocols, pointing out the importance of early detection of liver diseases through modern devices such as Fibroscan, which helps in the accurate diagnosis of cases of cirrhosis and fatty liver to provide the best means of treatment and follow-up for patients, which contributes to improving the quality of health care provided to them.<\/p>\n
