Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, visited the University Reception and Emergency Hospital in New Sohag City, where he reviewed the progress of work and the level of services provided to patients.<\/p>\n
He also evaluated the hospital\u2019s performance and assessed the readiness of the medical teams to ensure the highest levels of healthcare for citizens.<\/p>\n
During the tour, Al-Nomany followed up the progress of work and the cases coming to the cardiac imaging unit, which is the first unit to provide coronary artery imaging services and congenital defects in Upper Egypt, and provides magnetic resonance imaging examinations to diagnose various diseases of the heart and heart valves.<\/p>\n
The tour also covered several vital departments within the hospital, including the internal medicine reception, the surgery department, the pediatric reception, as well as the intensive care unit and the operating room wing.<\/p>\n
During the visit, Al-Nomany directed all hospital staff to provide the best health services to citizens, exert more efforts and care for the comfort of patients, and devote energies to providing distinguished medical and therapeutic services in the various hospital departments.<\/p>\n
He also reviewed the attendance and departure records and files of hospital visitors at the admissions office.<\/p>\n
He also reviewed the services provided in the emergency department and the average time between a patient\u2019s arrival and the start of receiving treatment.<\/p>\n
He also spoke with a number of patients and their families to ensure the quality of medical services provided and to listen to their opinions and comments on the level of healthcare within the hospital.<\/p>\n
Al-Nomany emphasized that the Emergency and Reception Hospital is one of the most important medical projects, aiming to provide urgent and comprehensive health services around the clock, in line with modern medical and therapeutic standards, to serve the people of Sohag Governorate and neighboring governorates.<\/p>\n
He pointed out that the hospital receives various medical cases, whether in emergency situations, for clinical treatment, or even for surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s worth noting that the Emergency Hospital was inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in January 2023 as a gift to patients in Upper Egypt located in New Sohag City, the hospital covers an area of \u200b\u200b24,000 meters.<\/p>\n
The total cost of the new hospital amounts to EGP 1 billion and EGP 175 million.<\/p>\n
It consists of three buildings: a reception and clinics building, a services building, and an educational building.<\/p>\n
