
Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani, President of Sohag University, confirms that Sohag University Hospitals enjoy the trust of the citizens due to the distinguished health services they provide, during his extensive tour of the new hospital. He affirmed that Sohag University Hospitals are trusted by the citizens for the distinguished health services they provide, as work is being done tirelessly to fulfill their educational and health role to the fullest, to contribute to alleviating the suffering of patients and providing distinguished health service to our people in the governorate and neighboring Upper Egypt governorates to provide a decent life for them, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, on the importance of doubling efforts to develop the health system in Egypt, and raise the efficiency of university hospitals, which are considered the locomotive of medical service, to serve all the sons of the Egyptian state under the new republic.
This came during the president of the university’s extensive tour of the new university hospital to check on the health service provided to patients inside the various treatment departments, and to ensure the availability of all necessary medical supplies, and to check on the quality of services provided to patients and visitors, and measure their satisfaction. He was accompanied by accountant Ashraf Al-Qadi, Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Magdy Al-Qadi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Hamed, Director of the New University Hospital, and Dr. Ahmed Abu Al-Dahab, Deputy Director of the New Hospital.
Al-Nomani said that the new university hospital is a strong addition to the national projects in the medical sector in Sohag Governorate, which was inaugurated by His Excellency President Sisi last January, at a total cost of 1.2 billion pounds, which saves the people of Upper Egypt the trouble of traveling to receive treatment in the governorates of the northern coast, adding that it includes 16 operating rooms, 40 reception beds, 78 care beds, 120 internal stay beds, 32 kidney dialysis machines, 52 outpatient clinics, in addition to many departments and specialties that provide the best therapeutic services, and at the highest levels of quality.
Al-Nomani explained that Sohag University Hospitals spare no effort in ensuring the provision of all modern technical needs, and training on the latest developments that contribute to the advancement of the skills of medical staff and continuous development in medical and health fields, within the framework of the societal role that the university plays in serving the community and implementing the plans and vision of the Egyptian state in improving the medical system, praising the regularity of work and the presence of medical teams in their work shifts; and the effort made to serve the large number present in various hospital departments.
Dr. Magdy Al-Qadi said that the president of the university conducted a tour that included heart, anesthesia, neurological and chest care, child care, gastrointestinal endoscopy, kidney dialysis, incubators for premature babies, and also inspected classrooms, auditoriums, isolation rooms, and patient preparation, where he visited patients and checked on their health, and the president of the university listened from the resident doctors present to a detailed explanation of the diagnosis of each case and what it receives from treatment, directing the need to provide all the needs required for them from medicines, medical supplies, and diagnostic means. Stressing the need to hold accountable anyone who is negligent in performing his work wherever found, and to continue to provide the highest levels of health care to all inpatients until their complete recovery and their return to their homes safely.
