Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Magdy Amin Al-Qadi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Al-Shazly Saleh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Al-Badry Center for Experimental Surgery held a training workshop for researchers from the faculty members and the supporting staff under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Eman Al-Sayed Abu Deif, Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors. Forty trainee researchers from the faculty and supporting staff attended.
The workshop included four sessions:
The first session entitled:
“Drug and toxin administration: Different approaches and dose equivalent for divert animal models”
The training was conducted by Dr. Diaa El-Din Al-Sayed, lecturer of pharmacology and toxicology at the College of Pharmacy.
The second session entitled:
“Establishment of an animal model for liver cirrhosis: surgical approach”
The training was conducted by Dr. Abdul Rahman Jalal, a general surgery lecturer and a member of the center’s board of directors and Dr. Sherine Ahmed Al-Sharif, histology lecturer.
The third session is entitled:
“Animal dealing for scarification and sampling (tissue, Blood, BM)”
The training was conducted by Dr. Sahar Muhammad Jibril, histology lecturer and member of the center’s board of directors and Professor Dr. Ahmed Mustafa, Professor of Physiology and member of the Center’s Board of Directors.
The fourth session is entitled:
“Different methods of tissue processing”
The training was conducted by Professor Dr. Ahmed Rushdi Hamed, Professor of Pathology and Member of the Center’s Board of Directors.
