The San George Primary School in Sohag visited the Faculty of Medicine at Sohag University. The visit took place on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. They were received by Dr. Magdy Amin Al-Qadi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, who welcomed them and wished them success.
The Community Service and Public Relations departments then took them on a tour inside the faculty departments (Biochemistry – Anatomy – Forensic Medicine – Museum). This was accompanied by a simplified explanation from Dr. Amira Fayez, assistant professor in the Department of Public Health, and student Mina Emad Rashdi from the fourth group of the faculty. They talked about:
- Getting to know the laboratories of the Faculty of Medicine.
- Clarifying the tasks of each laboratory in terms of chemical reactions.
- Types of gunshot wounds and various injuries.
- Different types of poisons.
- Identifying criminal suspicions and educating students.
The students interacted by wanting to know more about everything they saw from this explanation. At the end of the tour, the professors and students thanked the accompanying gentlemen, expressing their gratitude and benefit from explaining this medical information, hoping to return for another visit.
Finally, commemorative photos were taken.
