Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, inspected the activities of the medical convoy organized by the university in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Maadi and Sohag, in the presence of Dr. Magdy El-Qady, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Ahmed Kamal, Executive Director of University Hospitals, Dr. Al-Ahmadi El-Samman, Head of the Ophthalmology Department, Dr. Iman Salam, Head of the Convoy, Major General Hani Nabeel, Head of Rotary Club of Sohag, and a group of doctors and staff members.
Al-Nomany praised the cooperation with the Rotary Club and the services and joint activities it provides that benefit all segments of society, especially the most vulnerable groups, adding that the Ophthalmology Department at Sohag University Hospital succeeded in achieving a distinguished medical accomplishment and performing 118 free cataract surgeries in just two days as part of the activities.
Dr. Magdy Al-Qadi explained that a group of staff members from the department participated in performing the operations, and they demonstrated high efficiency in completing this large number of operations in record time, amidst precise organization and distinguished management of the convoy, where the Rotary Club provided the necessary funding for the convoy in the form of free medical supplies and lenses.
