Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, announced that the emergency reception at the new university hospital in the new city of Sohag has so far received 164 patients, where a medical examination was conducted and 26 patients were examined in the orthopedic and urology departments, 13 patients in the internal medicine reception, in addition to performing 16 surgical operations, in addition to booking 48 patients in intensive care in the cardiology, anesthesia, neurological, thoracic and pediatric departments, 15 children were detained in nurseries, 13 patients in the obstetrics and gynecology clinic, and 33 cases were received for children, following the transfer of reception from the old hospital headquarters to the new headquarters, within the framework of the expanded plan developed by the university administration to improve performance and Providing free medical services to citizens at the highest level of efficiency.
Al-Numani directed the necessity of raising the level of preparations and maximum preparedness and receiving various medical cases 24 hours a day, whether emergency cases, clinical treatment, or performing operations, within the framework of the university’s keenness to ensure the provision of the best medical services and reduce waiting lists, as the new emergency reception is a medical breakthrough within the university.
The new university hospital, and one of the most important reception departments at the governorate level and the neighboring governorates of Upper Egypt, due to the presence of medical and human capabilities in all specialties, and the availability of the financial burden, in addition to possessing the latest and most accurate medical devices that provide great service to patients, as cases are treated and operations are performed in the shortest time.
