
Faculty of Medicine at Sohag University organized the first scientific workshop specializing in male diseases and urinary tract infections.
The workshop was attended by a number of Staff members, doctors, and young specialists in this field. The event was held in the glass celebration hall in the old campus.
Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany, President of the University, stated that organizing this workshop aligns with the framework of the University’s plan to support continuing medical education and enhance the competence of medical personnel through practical training and keeping abreast of the latest scientific developments in specific specialties.
He added that the University is keen to provide an advanced educational environment that keeps pace with global developments in the field of medicine.
Dr. Magdy Amin El-Qadi, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, emphasized that this event aimed to provide distinguished training and practical content in the field of male diseases and urology. He noted that the workshop included interactive scientific discussions and face-to-face meetings with experienced specialists, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and enhance knowledge among young doctors.
Dr. Al-Nisr Rashid, Head of Urology Department, explained that the workshop addressed the latest developments in the field of male diseases, including modern methods for treating male sexual dysfunction, as well as methods for treating prostate diseases while preserving the patient’s sexual function.
The latest protocols for treating male infertility and advanced microscopic surgeries for treating varicocele were also discussed.
