Al-Nomani: Transferring reception and emergency services to the new university hospital and allocating waiting places for patients’ companions

Al-Nomani: Providing the highest levels of attention and health care to the patient from the first moments of his admission to the hospital until his full recovery.

His Excellency’s interest in the health sector, especially in the governorates of Upper Egypt, as it is one of the important sectors, as Upper Egypt now has a strong health sector that contributes to building the modern Egyptian state and is on par with the largest global health systems, in order to improve the health of the Egyptian citizen and provide him with the best medical services.

Al-Nomani said that the new university hospital in the new city of Sohag will be operated at full capacity, to provide its medical services at a high level of quality to serve the people of Sohag Governorate and the neighboring Upper Egypt governorates, where a plan will be implemented to transfer emergency reception from the old university hospital to the new university hospital, where the ground floor is medically, administratively, and security-equipped to receive patients from various accidents and emergencies.

It also includes the radiology department, the surgical and internal medicine receptions for men and women, and stitch rooms, EKG, gypsum, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which are equipped with the latest respirators

It also includes the temporary headquarters of the hospital police station.

In this regard, Al-Numani conducted an extensive inspection tour of the new hospital, which included all reception and emergency departments, outpatient clinics and internal departments.

He also inspected the radiology clinics of all types, including magnetic resonance imaging and CT scans with dye on the heart, an early detection device for breast tumors, and a cardiac catheterization device.

Dr. Ahmed Hamed, director of the new university hospital, added that the patient will be received in the emergency department for 24 hours only, and will be discharged or detained in the hospital to complete his treatment procedures as his medical condition requires, adding that the university president directed that the highest levels of attention and health care be provided to the patient from the moment. The first period was from his admission to the hospital until his departure after his full recovery.
